The 13th seasonal opening of the Queen Luise of Prussia memorial took place at a snow covered Schloss Hohenziertz this morning with speeches and a concert for those in attendance. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the creation of the memorial.
The speakers at the event were Mr Engel the head of the memorial who opened the exhibtion. He was followed on the lectern by Dr Prufer from Berlin, Mr Grund the Mayor of Neustrelitz and Mr Karger head of the County Council of Neustrelitz. Dr Lippert represented the Grand Ducal House and the Cultural Heritage of Mecklenburg-Strelitz society.
