A concert was held at Schloss Hohenzieritz to mark the end of the season of the Queen Luise of Prussia special exhibition, the “Year of Queen Luise”. Speeches were made to the 200 guests by the head of the Mecklenburg-Strelitz county parliament Dr. Michael Koerner, the ambassador of Mecklenburg-Western Pommerania to the German Federation, Dr. Thomas Freund, and by the head of the County Council of Mecklenburg-Strelitz Heiko Kaerger.
At the event Dr. Koerner presented the idea of the “Mecklenburg-Strelitz-Foundation” to promote and keep the identity and legacy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz alive. The foundation will have the support of His Highness Duke Borwin, the leaders of the political parties in the county parliament and the head of the county council.
